Fudgy Brownies

Chocolatey, fudgy and gooey brownies!

- 1/2 cup all purpose flour / maida
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- chopped nuts, chocolate or chocolate chips, optional
In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar and whisk until fully dissolved.
Add the eggs, one at a time and beat until well combined.
Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
Sift together the all purpose flour, cocoa powder and salt in another bowl.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients (the butter mixture) and whisk until well combined. Do not over mix the batter.
Add chopped chocolate or nuts or chocolate chips and fold with the batter.
Grease a 8*8 baking tray with some butter and line with a baking sheet. Pour the batter onto the baking tray and spread it evenly.
Preheat the oven at 180°C. Bake them for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serve warm with some vanilla ice cream or as is.
- Do not over mix the batter while adding the flour mixture.
- If you are using granulated sugar, make sure to mix it well until fully combined with the butter.
- Adding chopped chocolates or nuts is completely optional.
- Do not over bake the brownies. Check after 20 or 25 minutes and bake for further 5 minutes if not completely baked.
